Ripcord
by David Lindsay-Abaire
Thursday, July 18, 2024 - Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Duke Family Performance Hall
The award-winning playwright of Rabbit Hole returns to his comic roots with Ripcord, an endlessly surprising tale of two unlikely roommates in a senior living facility who engage in an epic series of pranks. As each tries to outwit the other, we begin to observe a moving portrait of two women with as much to reconcile on the inside as the outside. Shifting between the comfy confines of their room and increasingly wild, theatrical settings (Haunted houses! Skydiving!), Ripcord asks us when we should slow down, take a deep breath, and open our parachutes.
