Our Mission
Part of DCP’s mission is to encourage community participation in live theatre that engages, entertains, enriches and educates. We actively look for ways to bring the theatrical experience into our community. Some examples of our community outreach are listed below.
Field Trips
Participating and viewing live theatre improves academic performance, that is why DCP offers field trips to our Connie Company productions.
Youth Ensembles
Final youth ensemble productions are performed FREE of charge for the community. Dates are January and May. Announcements are made via email, social media and on our website.
Senior Theatre
Senior Theatre is a readers theatre program that partners DCP with The Pines. This four-week process yields an entertaining show that is open to The Pines residents.
Shakespeare on the Green
Shakespeare on the Green is a partnership between The Town of Davidson, Davidson Community Players anf Hough High School. Our mission is to produce Shakespeare in a manner that is open to all members of the Davidson and Lake Norman community. All performances will be presented free of charge on the Village Green.
