Dramatic Writing

Monday nights from 7:30 - 9:00pm
Davidson Community Players is now enrolling for new sections of writing classes designed exclusively for adults! In Dramatic Writing, the instructor will facilitate interactive, exploratory workshop-style class sessions for those interested in writing for the stage or screen. The workshop is perfect for anyone who is looking to start a new project, workshop a draft, or just wants accountability for their writing process. Over a 10-week term, participants will:
Participate in writing exercises designed to generate new ideas or move through writer's block
Develop ideas into working drafts or polish drafts
Set writing goals and have accountability throughout the session
Share and receive critical feedback from instructor and workshop participants
Have opportunities for actors to read work out loud, and workshop with diverse perspectives
CLASSES MON 7:30-9:00pm: Classes will occur once a week beginning Sep 16 and ending Nov 18. There will be 8 total classes with 2 off weeks at the discretion of the instructor.
EXPERIENCE: No experience necessary; beginners may inquire prior to enrollment by emailing steve@davidsoncommunityplayers.org.
REFUND POLICY: Class tuition will be refunded in full up to 7 days prior to the class start date. Refunds will not be granted after the deadline.
